OrbitMI adds data service for dry bulk operators

Maritime software provider OrbitMI has announced the launch of a new Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) offering for the dry bulk sector.

The Vessel and Company Particulars product aims to provide data on various vessel characteristics to optimise technology stacks and improve performance in line with users’ operational requirements.

The system includes data sets covering vessel characteristics, movements, ownership details, incidents, inspections, and sanctions. Selections can be customised as required.

The product is supported by strategic partnerships with maritime data sources like Lloyd’s List Intelligence and global brokerage houses to improve data validation.

“Our goal is to empower the industry with confidence through accessible, accurate information. With real-time updates where applicable, we ensure our customers can trust the quality of our data,” said Ali Riaz, CEO of OrbitMI.

“We don’t just gather data; we enhance it. Using advanced machine learning techniques and comparative methodologies, we validate the most accurate entries, adding an extra layer of reliability to our data.”

“Delivering high-quality data in the global maritime industry is challenging. We invest significantly in data validation and partner with trusted sources to provide the reliable information our customers depend on.”
