Newly formed maritime software company Ripple Operations has announced the acquisition of AdonisHR, a Norwegian provider of crew management and payroll applications.
The acquisition is supported by a financial investment from New York-based software holding company Bleecker Street Group, which acquired Ripple last year, and is designed to accelerate the combined company’s growth in the global maritime sector. By joining forces with AdonisHR, Ripple will now serve more than 380,000 mariners on more than 2,000 vessels around the world.

Ripple was formed through the merger of New Orleans-based MarineCFO and Vancouver-based Marine Learning Systems (MLS), whose e-learning and skills assessment applications will now be integrated into the AdonisHR product portfolio.
In a separate transaction in September last year, AdonisHR acquired and integrated compatriot company Shipadmin, a supplier of onboard operations systems, particularly for offshore vessels and rigs, including modules for ship-shore reporting, environmental compliance, document management and Personnel-on-Board (POB) management.

Ripple notes that it plans to continue to add additional modules to the Ripple platform in the near future, either developed in-house or through further acquisitions.
