Cobham Satcom has added two terminals designed to deliver new generation Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) services from satellite network operators Inmarsat and Iridium.
The newest generation of GMDSS services can deliver voice, messaging and data functionality, integrated with Long-Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) and Ship Security Alert Systems (SSAS) within a single product.
Both the SAILOR Fleet C (Inmarsat) and SAILOR 7200 GMDSS (Iridium) feature omni-directional, low-profile antennas, and incorporate SAILOR user-interface features common to other antennas in Cobham Satcom’s portfolio.
