Nereus Digital Bunkers updates fuel procurement platform

Nereus Digital Bunkers of Greece reports that it has added a new marketplace feature within its NEREUS platform for marine fuel procurement.

The marketplace aims to integrate all key stakeholders involved in a bunker call, including physical suppliers, traders, and brokers as part of its initial phase. An upcoming Phase Two release will see that reach expanded to include surveyors, agents, and laboratories, the company says.

Every vendor signing up to the platform undergoes a verification process, to create a trusted ecosystem for both buyers and sellers and reduce risk in the bunkering process. Performance ratings are also maintained for every vendor for use in purchasers’ decision making.

Users can compare ports, check fuel quality, pricing and other details, with the software delivering real-time data from over 200 ports linked to a bunker optimisation tool that calculates the best time and location for fuel purchases.

The platform also offers oil market forecasting, alongside a negotiation tool that automates inquiries, quotations, and vendor communication, as well as post-fixture paperwork.
