SeaBuddy app for seafarers launched

Maritime start-up SeaBuddy has launched its new mobile app for seafarers, designed to deliver functionality to support both the personal and professional needs of those working at sea.

Features of the app include a currency converter that updates automatically with the latest rates and a built-in Finance Manager tool to help users track and manage their money.

A SeaTime function allows crews to keep an accurate digital log of their time working at sea, while an integrated Doc Locker can be used to securely store important documents on the device.

An integrated navigation system is also included that utilises the device’s sensors to work offline. All features have auto-cloud backup and offline support.

The app, created by former seafarer and SeaBuddy founder Alan Gautham, can be downloaded from the Apple AppStore and Google Play.
