Carrier Transicold to add dry container tracking to telematics platform

Carrier Transicold and IoT technology provider Net Feasa have launched IoTPASS, a dry container telematics system for asset monitoring.

Integrated with the Carrier Transicold Lynx Fleet platform, IoTPASS expands the platform’s reach beyond the refrigerated container telematics space to offer tracking of both dry and refrigerated containers within one ecosystem.

“With IoTPASS, we are transforming the way our customers manage their assets throughout the supply chain,” said Tan Bor Yow, Senior Channel Manager, BluEdge, Global Container Refrigeration, Carrier Transicold.

“It delivers the same innovation and reliability we’re known for in the refrigerated container space, now optimised for dry containers.”

The IoTPASS device features integrated tracking, a door sensor to monitor security and heat sensors to detect in-container fires. The unit operates across cellular networks to transmit its data, with LoRa and satellite as fallback options.

The system has been designed for quick installation using a single rivet and has a 10-year battery life backed by solar-harvesting capabilities. It has been scheduled for global release through Carrier’s BluEdge Partners telematics reseller network before the end of the year.
