Satcom service provider Navarino is branching out from its current base in connectivity and onboard vessel networks with the launch of a new entity specialising in maritime navigation systems and electronics.
Navarino Elements will cater specifically to the bridge and navigation sector, also offering installation, servicing and support of GMDSS systems, as well as safety equipment.
The new business unit will be staffed by in-house engineers and will operate with a coordinated global service network offering availability of bridge and navigation equipment across most ports, backed by warehouses in Greece, the Netherlands and Singapore.
The company says that it will also apply AI technologies to monitor and assist in dealing with user requests so that enquiries are actioned and processed in a speedy manner.
Navarino Elements says it will employ an Asset Management Platform (AMP), built into Navarino’s existing Infinity system through its Spectrum platform, to provide an overview of the complete onboard infrastructure, to assist in maintenance scheduling and compliance management for customer vessels.
Additionally, new business plans will offer flexible purchasing and leasing models under its ‘Bridge as a Service’ programme, allowing clients to choose between CapEx, OpEx, and hybrid OpEx-CapEx models.
