Tanker operator d’Amico International Shipping (DIS) has partnered with ShipServ to implement its supplier vetting system, the companies report.
DIS is the d’Amico division operating in the Product Tanker sector, listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since 2007.
The company operates a fleet specialised in the transport of refined petroleum products, with an emphasis on sustainable operations – 82% of DIS’ owned and bareboat fleet, and 85% of its entire controlled fleet are ‘Eco-design’ ships, compared with the industry average of 36% based on figures from Clarksons Research Services.
The tanker company will use ShipServ’s systems to improve its procurement efficiency, increase supply chain resilience, and streamline ESG compliance.
“We are excited to take this crucial step to enhance the daily workflow of our procurement transactions. Supplier risk assessment is critical in safeguarding the resilience and security of our supply chain,” said Francesco Leboffe, Procurement Manager at d’Amico Group.
“By identifying, evaluating, and mitigating supplier-related risks, we can respond effectively to disruptions and ensure continuity in operations. This proactive approach allows us to build stronger supplier relationships and navigate global challenges with confidence.”
