Next Ocean secures investment to scale predictive radar technology

Next Ocean has secured seed investment from Arches Capital to support its expansion and to further develop its Vessel Motion Radar technology for the offshore sector.

The company says the funding will be used to scale production, expand into new markets, and enhance the capabilities of its predictive radar.

The Vessel Motion Radar provides real-time insights into wave-induced vessel motions, allowing operators to predict conditions up to three minutes in advance. The system aims to improve safety and efficiency in offshore operations by reducing operational risks and increasing uptime, even in adverse weather conditions.

“This partnership marks a significant milestone for Next Ocean, reinforcing our long-term commitment to the offshore industries,” said Karel Roozen, CEO of Next Ocean.

“We are confident that Arches Capital will be a key partner in further establishing our market position. By accelerating our growth, we can bring our potentially life-saving technology to operators worldwide and strengthen the relationships we’ve built with our existing clients.”

Next Ocean’s technology is already in use across the offshore wind and oil and gas sectors.
