Regional Container Lines (RCL) has agreed a deal to implement Lloyd’s Register OneOcean’s voyage optimisation platform across its fleet, aiming to improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and enhance voyage planning.
Thailand-based RCL will use the LR OneOcean system to support real-time route planning, dynamic weather routing, and intelligent speed management for its 38 vessels. The platform also supports budget control and fleet scheduling, which will help the company to meet operational and environmental targets.
“At RCL, we are dedicated to delivering reliable, efficient, and sustainable shipping solutions,” said Captain Phakphum Meejaroen, Regional Container Lines.
“As one of our strategic steps, partnering with LR OneOcean allows us to leverage advanced technology to optimise our fleet’s performance, reduce fuel costs, and enhance our service offering to customers. This collaboration is one of our key steps in our commitment to operational excellence.”
The system integrates the route optimisation and vessel performance technologies developed by C-Map and GreenSteam after their acquisition by LR alongside a range of other companies, with all of those organisations now integrated within OneOcean.
