Ocean Network Express (ONE) has agreed a deal to retrofit the 6,700 TEU ONE Maestro with Wärtsilä’s Fit4Power derating package, as part of a conversion aimed at improving engine efficiency through improved data collection and analysis.
The vessel, managed by ONESEA Solutions Pte Ltd, is currently operating at reduced speeds to align with the IMO’s Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) requirements. The new package will optimise engine output to match actual operating profiles, lowering fuel consumption by an average of 13% and extending the ship’s CII compliance by around four years, Wärtsilä says.
The installation will also include an Intelligent Combustion Control system, two new turbochargers, and the Wärtsilä Data Collection Unit (WDCU) to enable cloud-based analytics, remote monitoring, and performance optimisation.
This will be backed by Wärtsilä’s Expert Insight predictive maintenance tool and remote operational support, providing continuous condition monitoring to optimise fuel economy and reduce unplanned downtime.
