Hagland acquires Vanora to expand digital chartering capabilities

Hagland has acquired Vanora AS, the company behind the VesselAdmin chartering platform, to strengthen its digital service portfolio for the maritime sector.

Vanora’s VesselAdmin system provides digital tools for vessel chartering and payments, aimed at improving efficiency and compliance in procurement processes.

The platform has facilitated over 3,700 bids from brokers and owners in the offshore and dry bulk sectors and executed payments totalling NOK 630 million (approx. US$62m) since its launch.

Hagland operates across shipbroking, shipping, marine agency services, accounting, and investments. The acquisition is intended to complement existing services and enhance digital workflows for clients.

VesselAdmin will continue to operate as a standalone entity within the Hagland Group, maintaining independent client relationships and data governance standards.

“Joining forces with Hagland is an exciting opportunity for us. We believe that our technology and services, combined with Hagland’s existing services and values, will create a powerful synergy that benefits our clients and the maritime industry as a whole,” said Geir Gotteberg, CEO of Vanora.
