Anglo-Eastern has agreed a deal to upgrade Hadley Shipping Group’s fleet to the Inmarsat NexusWave connectivity system, the companies report.
Hadley Shipping is an existing user of Inmarsat services and will move to the bonded multi-orbit platform to improve performance and scale capacity to support operational demands and crew welfare.
“Unlimited data is a key benefit of Inmarsat’s NexusWave, but our decision to invest goes beyond just bandwidth,” said Sunit Das, Director of Operations, Hadley Shipping Group.
“This upgrade supports our long-term goals for operational efficiency and crew wellbeing. With the built-in cybersecurity and our confidence in Inmarsat’s capabilities, NexusWave enables us to future-proof our fleet as maritime data and connectivity demands evolve.”
Anglo-Eastern began implementing a multi-orbit strategy in 2023 and is now extending this with NexusWave across vessels under its technical management. The ship manager says the system will broadly be used to support digital transformation, cyber resilience and improved onboard internet access for seafarers.
