Color Line agrees deal with NAPA for fleetwide electronic logbook system

Color Line has agreed a deal with NAPA to implement the NAPA Logbook system across its fleet of five vessels during 2025, in support of the Norwegian ferry operator’s broader digitalisation strategy.

The system will replace manual data entry with automated compliance and reporting processes, with the aim of improving data quality and strengthening collaboration between ship and shore teams.

Shoreside staff will also gain real-time access to operational data via NAPA Fleet Intelligence to support decision-making.

The rollout has been completed remotely without onboard hardware installation, allowing the system to be updated and scaled across the fleet.

“The wellbeing and safety of our crew and passengers is always our top priority,” said Henrik Baråt Svensen, Superintendent Maritime Digitalisation at Color Line.

“Working with NAPA has allowed us to take a proactive approach to safety by leveraging digital solutions, like NAPA Logbook, that understand our operations and crew. This has helped simplify daily tasks and save time, while improving data quality and reporting.”
