Cobelfret partners with Smart Ship Hub for digital fleet upgrade

Dry bulk shipping company Cobelfret has agreed a deal with Smart Ship Hub (SSH) to deploy its digital platform across the company’s owned fleet, to support remote condition monitoring, predictive performance management, and emissions tracking.

The system integrates high-frequency sensor data with existing datasets, operator logs, and OEM manuals. Cobelfret says the platform will provide timestamped data, smart alarms, and analytics to deliver real-time operational awareness.

“With timestamped data, smart alarms, and integrated decarbonisation analytics, we now have real-time situational awareness,” said Manoj Pandalanghat, Director and Head of Technical at Cobelfret.

“This reshapes technical ship management, putting Cobelfret at the forefront of sustainable, efficient, and safe operations.”

SSH says that the technology will automate data validation and assist in management of compliance processes such as Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) tracking and fuel deviation analysis.

Cobelfret Singapore, a subsidiary of Switzerland-based CLdN Armateurs, manages a fleet of about 110 owned and chartered bulk carriers ranging from Handysize to Capesize.
