Amazon’s Project Kuiper has added another 27 satellites to its low Earth orbit constellation following its latest successful launch mission.
The satellites were launched aboard a ULA Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral on 25 September, deployed at an altitude of 465 km before being transferred under Kuiper mission control in Redmond, Washington. They will be raised to 630 km for commissioning.
The launch brings the number of Kuiper satellites in orbit to 129. Amazon plans more than 80 missions to complete its initial 3,200-satellite network, designed to deliver global broadband coverage.
Previous missions in 2025 included two earlier Atlas V launches and two Falcon 9 launches, each carrying between 24 and 27 spacecraft.
