GenPro acquires SeaConnect to expand digital capabilities

GP General Procurement Company (GenPro) reports that it has acquired SeaConnect from Procurelink, with the goal of strengthening its digital procurement services for shipowners and suppliers.

SeaConnect, a supplier-facing procurement platform, will now be fully owned, operated and rebranded by GenPro. The system will be integrated into GenPro’s OPTIMA digital platform and offered as an optional tool for users seeking an end-to-end procurement process.

“This acquisition reflects the growing demand for smarter, faster, and more sustainable procurement solutions in the maritime sector,” said Maria Theodosiou, Managing Director of GenPro.

“By offering SeaConnect procurement functionalities through Genpro, we are giving our members access to a robust digital environment, without imposing a single way of working. It’s about choice, control, and enabling transformation at the right pace for each company.”

Suppliers will be progressively onboarded to the platform to align with GenPro’s contractual and compliance frameworks.
