Hefring Marine reports that it has agreed a partnership with SEA.AI to integrate AI-based maritime vision technology with its onboard vessel analytics platform, with the aim of improving navigational safety and operational awareness.
The collaboration will combine Hefring Marine’s IMAS platform with SEA.AI’s machine vision system, which uses artificial intelligence to detect and classify objects at sea in real time.
The companies said that the integrated approach is intended to support collision avoidance while also providing broader operational intelligence to vessel operators.
IMAS is designed to analyse vessel behaviour and operating conditions to support safety and efficiency. By integrating real-time visual detection data from SEA.AI, the combined system should deliver a more comprehensive situational picture to crews, particularly in complex or high-risk operating environments.
