Langh Ship agrees fleet connectivity upgrade

Langh Ship has agreed a fleet-wide connectivity upgrade with Pentonet, combining low Earth orbit satellite connectivity with 5G cellular networks using an SD-WAN cloud management system.

Langh Ship operates 14 vessels in European and international trades and is part of the wider Langh Companies Group, which also includes green technology provider Langh Tech and container services business Langh Cargo Solutions.

The new hybrid connectivity approach is intended to deliver higher data speeds, lower latency and improved reliability across the fleet, supporting both operational requirements and crew connectivity.

The system is designed to switch between satellite and cellular networks as required, depending on vessel location and availability.

The rollout will be implemented in phases during 2026.
