Nigerian-owned marine logistics and offshore support operator Tamrose has deployed MariTrace’s Mercury vessel tracking system across its entire fleet of 15 vessels.
The fleet-wide installation will provide Tamrose with real-time, encrypted vessel tracking that will continue to transmit positional and operational data even when AIS signals are unavailable or deliberately switched off.
Mercury caches tracking data during connectivity outages and automatically synchronises with the MariTrace platform once connections are restored, ensuring continuous voyage records.
The system supports one-minute positional updates and integrates with onboard GPS and AIS via standard NMEA interfaces.
In addition to real-time tracking, the platform provides access to route risk analysis, geofencing alerts, incident feeds and historical data through the MariTrace interface and API.
