SK Shipping in Korea has signed a Vessellink service agreement with compatriot company Lab021 to manage compliance with environmental regulations while improving vessel performance and efficiency analysis across its fleet.
The performance analysis system has been designed to handle a variety of different propulsion configurations, including dual-fuel engines and twin-shaft vessels.
Vessellink will be used to provide automated performance analysis under real operating conditions, covering different configurations such as LNG and LPG carriers and large tankers operating with multiple propulsion systems.
The platform offers quantitative analysis of fuel efficiency, propulsion performance and deviations as operating conditions change, to allow SK Shipping to carry out fuel-efficiency-based performance assessments, compare vessel performance across different operating profiles, and track fleet-wide performance trends.
Following the agreement with SK Shipping, Lab021 has also established a new Singapore-based entity, Vessellink Pte. Ltd., in cooperation with SK Shipping.
