Inkoo Shipping, based in Finland, has selected a cloud-based Port Management Information System (PMIS) from Grieg Connect to support the digitalisation of its port, stevedoring, and ship agency operations.
Inkoo Shipping acts as the port authority and manages cargo operations at the ports of Inkoo and Kantvik. Its ship agency and forwarding teams also provide vessel services and customs clearance at the ports of Inkoo, Kantvik, and Parainen.
The new system will provide a unified platform for port call management, cargo handling, resource coordination, and automated invoicing.
Through integrations with Netvisor and PortNet, a national maritime reporting system, the PMIS (Port Management Information System) will support information flow between operational activities and financial processes. A future integration is also planned for Nemo, the incoming Finnish national Maritime Single Window (MSW) which is scheduled to replace PortNet by 2027.
“We aim to further streamline our operational processes and ensure reliable data flow across our port, cargo, and agency operations. A unified system supporting these activities is an important step in that direction, and Grieg Connect demonstrated the system and service concept that best fits our needs,” said Thomas Bergman, Chief Executive Officer of Inkoo Shipping.
The implementation is scheduled to begin this year and will be delivered in phases.
