Anschütz has introduced the Standard 100 MF gyrocompass 026, extending its vibrational gyro technology to a wider range of commercial vessels.
The system uses principles derived from hemispherical resonator gyro (HRG) systems including the Standard 30 MF, with a simplified design intended to provide maintenance-free heading information.
The Standard 100 MF is aimed at newbuild and retrofit projects and uses the same CAN bus as the Standard 22 NX and Standard 30 MF. Anschütz said it can be integrated into existing gyrocompass systems using six wires, with standardised interfaces supporting installation and commissioning.
In addition to heading information, the system provides roll and pitch data for vessel operations and situational awareness.
The Standard 100 MF is scheduled to enter the market in 2027.
