MARTAC partners with SŌLACE Boats to scale USV production

Maritime Tactical Systems (MARTAC) is to increase production of its Devil Ray unmanned surface vessels (USVs) by 100 vessels per year through a manufacturing partnership with Florida-based SŌLACE Boats.

SŌLACE will produce Devil Ray platforms at its facility in Edgewater, Florida, using vacuum infusion and catamaran-hull manufacturing capabilities.

“We’re proud to partner with SŌLACE, given their reputation, in-depth experience and prowess in producing high-strength, lightweight hulls that can traverse high sea-states,” said Tony Smeraglinolo, Chief Executive Officer of MARTAC.

The agreement follows MARTAC’s recent co-production agreement with Mystic Powerboats and forms part of the company’s strategy to increase production capacity for its autonomous vessels in the US.

“SŌLACE Boats is excited to be partnering with MARTAC, a company whose platforms have over a decade of operational excellence in government programs and exercises,” said Stephen Dougherty, Chief Executive Officer of SŌLACE Boats.
