Liner operator T.S. Lines has agreed a new partnership with Singapore-based maritime tech company iO3, which will see the Taiwanese shipowner implement a new video analytics system on board its container vessels.
The deal, facilitated by iO3’s local partner Anchang Brothers, is part of a wider digital roadmap planned by T.S. Lines to improve its digital capabilities and cyber resilience.
In addition to the video-based analytics system, iO3 will also provide connectivity services to the operator’s vessels.
Ken Li, Deputy Junior Vice President at T.S Lines, says that his company sees digital investments like these as essential to proactively anticipating and adapting to emerging trends, technological advancements, and market demands in the sector.
He adds that preparing for a digitally demanding future is a pivotal challenge for the business, requiring strategic planning and the adoption of new technologies.
