Greek ship manager Neptune Lines has agreed a new partnership with maritime software company Maindeck, following the completion of a trial of its technical project management application.
The trial included the use of the system by the project team to support activities during the 2nd Special Survey of Neptune Galene, including preparation of a specification of works, gathering and comparing shipyard quotations, generation of progress reports on site and management of related costs.
Following completion of the project, Neptune has now decided on a full rollout of Maindeck to manage all dry-dockings across its entire fleet. Work on follow up projects using the software has already begun, the companies note.
“Earning the trust of Neptune Lines marks a major milestone in our effort to digitise technical project management for the Greek shipping community,” said Maindeck’s agent in Greece, Andreas Scaramangas of Resolute Maritime Services.
“We are confident that Maindeck will result in measurable efficiency gains and look forward to supporting Neptune going forward.”
Maindeck is a wholly owned subsidiary of UniSea, a maritime software company based in Skudeneshavn, Norway.
