Maritime Optima partners with Microsoft Azure

Start-up Maritime Optima reports that it has partnered with Microsoft to have its ShipIntel system added to the Microsoft Azure marketplace.

ShipIntel will be available with direct Microsoft 365 integrations developed together with the software giant, for applications including Outlook and Teams.

Maritime Optima’s system utilises AI and machine learning algorithms combined with ShipIntel’s live and historical database of ship movements (AIS) and sea route simulations to assist shipping users in optimising earnings and reducing emissions.

“We are proud and grateful to be a part of the Microsoft programmes helping ShipIntel to become successful. We have had the pleasure of working with the skilled and experienced Microsoft organisation from day one, helping us building a global software,” said Kristin Omholt-Jensen, CEO and Founder of Maritime Optima.

“By being approved by Microsoft to offer the ShipIntel product portfolio on the Azure marketplace, we are able to reach potential customers who are using Microsoft 365 products with our Microsoft Teams and Outlook add-ins.”

Features include a Pre-Fix module integrated with Outlook to allow chartering departments, ship operators, traders and shipbrokers to take advantage of AI-driven email parsing for data extraction, integrated with voyage calculations and simulations of different operational scenarios.
