Wärtsilä adds EU emissions module to optimisation platform

Wärtsilä has announced the launch of a new EU Emissions Compliance module, directly integrated into the company’s existing Fleet Optimisation Solution (FOS) platform.

The new module is designed to support ship owners, managers, and operators in navigating the requirements of the FuelEU Maritime regulations and the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS).

The software allows for real-time management of compliance utilising forecasting and automated reporting. Regulatory status can be tracked, and actionable data provided to inform decision-making and assist in cost control.

The new tool is part of Wärtsilä’s wider FOS offering, which integrates systems and communication between ships, shore offices, and ports to provide a shared digital platform to exchange data.

The platform combines cloud-based analytics, AI and automation to monitor, manage and optimise processes onboard and onshore.
