Marcura acquires VesselMan

Marcura has announced the strategic acquisition of VesselMan, a provider of software systems for dry-docking and technical project management, as it continues the restructuring and expansion of its digital services.

In 2023 Marcura bought maritime procurement platform ShipServ, and the same year sold its recap and charterparty management platform MarDocs to Sea.

Headquartered in Dubai, Marcura’s digital portfolio also includes voyage optimisation system PortLog and port cost management provider DA-Desk, alongside its MarTrust maritime payment processing system for crews, port agencies and suppliers.

ClaimsHub, a digital system for laytime claims processing, and MCaaS, a maritime compliance system, are also offered by the Group.

VesselMan’s cloud-based software will be integrated with MarTrust and ShipServ and is expected to complement Macura’s e-procurement capabilities by offering additional vessel management tools, ranging from inspections and technical project planning, sourcing, and purchasing to project workflows and analytics.

“This acquisition represents a natural evolution of Marcura’s mission to deliver seamless, data-driven solutions for the maritime industry to manage its growing complexities,” said Henrik Hyldahn, Group CEO of Marcura.

“With VesselMan, we’re equipping our customers with an even stronger platform that delivers unmatched operational efficiency.”
