Sallaum Lines has agreed a deal to upgrade its connectivity set-up to implement Inmarsat’s NexusWave service, adopting the bonded network platform as part of a broader digitalisation strategy.
The agreement will see the system rolled out across Sallaum’s fleet of 14 Roll-on/Roll-off vessels, including six newbuilds. The managed service offers unlimited data and is supported by Inmarsat’s Care Premium programme for maintenance and assistance.
The switch is aligned with Sallaum Lines’ strategy to expand its global operations while improving data-driven decision-making by increasing its use of IoT sensors, remote monitoring tools, and digital collaboration systems across the fleet.
Sallaum is also prioritising crew welfare, with plans to launch a learning and development platform on board offering crew access to online education tools.
