Orca AI secures $72.5m investment

Orca AI reports that it has raised $72.5 million in Series B funding to support the expansion of its AI-based maritime technology platform. The investment round was led by Brighton Park Capital, with participation from Ankona Capital and Hyperlink Ventures.

The funding will be used to further develop the company’s autonomous navigation systems, add new capabilities, and expand into new areas, including defence and security applications.

Orca AI says the new round brings its total funding raised to $111 million, with OCV Partners and Mizmaa Ventures having joined earlier rounds.

Founded in 2018, Orca AI provides ship operators with an AI-powered platform that uses computer vision and a marine visual dataset to improve navigation, situational awareness, and collision avoidance. The system delivers real-time alerts and decision support, helping to reduce the likelihood of close encounters and operational risks.
