Singapore-based venture capital firm Tradeworks.vc reports that it has invested $300,000 in Navguide Solutions, a maritime technology company operating in Singapore and India, to support the development of its digital training tools.
Founded in 2020 by Capt Debashis Basu, Navguide offers application-based training focused on onboard skills, using visualisation, microlearning, and gamification to support inspection readiness and compliance with standards including SIRE 2.0 and RightShip.
The investment will be used to expand the company’s ClassNK-approved Guide2Inspections digital inspection and mentoring app and support its go-to-market plans.
“What sets Navguide apart is that its founder has firsthand experience of how seafarers learn and perform,” said Niklas Holck, CEO at Tradeworks.vc.
“That deep, practical insight drives a solution with real impact, and we’re excited to back their growth and contribute to improving seafarer safety, competency, and engagement.”
