X-Press Feeders has agreed a five-year partnership with AuctionConnect to digitalise the company’s global bunker procurement operations using its reverse-auction platform.
The collaboration will expand AuctionConnect’s use across X-Press Feeders’ fleets in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas and Europe, standardising procurement through real-time digital auctions among vetted suppliers.
“We see real value in applying the auction platform for our global procurement activities; specifically, we are seeing improved pricing, built-in compliance and audit trail, and reduced time spent on administration,” said Global Head of Operations at X-Press Feeders, Capt Vijayachelvan Silva Raju.
“We see the platform as an integral part of our procurement ecosystem that compliments the strong relationships we have with our suppliers and partners.”
