Evergreen confirms fleetwide rollout of Inmarsat NexusWave

Evergreen Marine has confirmed the fleetwide rollout of Inmarsat Maritime’s NexusWave connectivity service, becoming the first Taiwanese container operator to standardise on the system across its vessels.

Following the completion of successful trials, Evergreen will upgrade its systems from Fleet Xpress to NexusWave as part of its Evergreen IT modernisation programme.

The deployment is intended to improve crew welfare, strengthen cybersecurity, and support the company’s broader digitalisation strategy.

NexusWave provides bonded, multi-network connectivity, combining multiple satellite networks including ViaSat-3. Evergreen said the service will support applications such as predictive analytics, real-time reefer monitoring and expanded IoT integration across its fleet.

“Evergreen’s fleetwide adoption of Inmarsat NexusWave reflects our commitment to the welfare of our seafarers and operational excellence, while also providing the platform to continue innovating for customers,” the company said.

“We are confident that NexusWave, as a bonded, scalable, and secure connectivity solution, will support the digitalisation and future growth of our fleet.
