Marine insurer NorthStandard has introduced a dedicated Iran Conflict layer to its GlobeView platform, designed to provide shipowners with a centralised overview of security threats in the Middle East.
The new functionality consolidates existing data and intelligence-based insights into a single interface. This allows members and correspondents to evaluate operational risks and access relevant guidance without the need to consult multiple disparate sources.
The layer displays threat assessments and maritime incident data from Risk Intelligence, covering the Persian Gulf, Red Sea, and Indian Ocean. It also provides port assessments for regional hubs alongside latest guidance and correspondent contacts at key locations.
“The announcement of a ceasefire on 8th April has increased expectations that the Iran conflict may be addressed through diplomatic channels, although conditions in the Gulf are likely to remain uncertain for some time,” said Colin Gillespie, Global Head of Loss Prevention at NorthStandard.
“It is important that our Members have access to timely updates on a rapidly changing situation. Our new Iran Conflict layer consolidates information and expertise already available across GlobeView and our website into a single, focused overview, and provides a foundation for incorporating additional datasets and functionality over time.”
