Redstone reports that it has reached the first close of its €25 million Blue Fund, which will invest in early-stage ocean technology companies.
Based in the Nordics with a European mandate, Redstone Blue will invest from pre-seed to Series A across maritime and ports, energy, water technologies, and marine data and observation.
The fund is backed by angel investors, family offices, foundations, institutions and corporations connected to the maritime industry.
Redstone said it has been a thematic investor for more than a decade and is targeting ocean and water technologies as an emerging investment area.
The fund will back companies developing technologies for maritime and ports, energy, water and marine data, with a focus on market-based returns and the development of the blue economy.
