Maersk has launched a new digital supply chain management platform called Maersk Flow, developed to assist small and medium sized customers in connecting with parties across their supply chains.
The system can be used to manage supply chain processes and ensure that the flow of goods and documents is executed as planned, reducing manual work while providing access to a range of data about supply chain performance to support decision making.
The past performance of in-house teams and supply chain partners can be continuously evaluated through performance reports, to highlight deviations in timelines, accuracy and responsiveness. The system also offers collaboration tools, activity tracking, and process validation functionality to digitalise as many supply chain functions as possible.
“We are very excited to release Maersk Flow, which will give these customers a digital supply chain management tool that is designed specifically for their needs,” said Martin Holme, Global Head of SCM & E-commerce Logistics, A.P. Moller – Maersk.
“Maersk Flow will allow our customers to significantly improve their supply chain performance with less time and effort. This lets them focus more resources on their core business and achieve happier customers and higher sales growth.”
The system is carrier-neutral, so users can make bookings with any carrier of their choice through the Maersk Flow platform.
