Supply chain technology company Youredi has launched a beta programme inviting maritime and logistics industry stakeholders to test how its new Rapids technology can be applied to address pain points of data connectivity and information sharing in supply chain integration.
The programme aims to develop a portfolio of standardised data integration systems by working in collaboration with industry stakeholders to discover methods for solving common challenges together, with digital tools to be provided by Youredi.
“We believe that global logistics is too inefficient. We pay too much for our goods, and the climate suffers,” said Jaakko Elovaara, CEO of Youredi.
“Everyone must have equal access to logistics services and transparent information. Youredi’s mission is to offer data integration as a utility, like electricity or an internet connection. Youredi Rapids is our answer to how to make it happen.”
Youredi Rapids consists of packaged systems developed to address repeating challenges in data and technology management that the company has identified in the logistics sector. These include issues of data integration, data quality, IT system functionality and partner integration.
The Rapids technology is based on the existing Youredi iPaaS (integration platform-as-a-service), used to receive and update data on different applications, on-premise or in the cloud. iPaaS offers functionality for automated parsing and transformation of logistics industry standard messages, such as EDIFACT, ANSI X12, and others.
The Rapids system will add new technological components to this existing platform, such as the Youredi Rapids Service Bus and EDI Translator, to expand its data collection and aggregation capabilities even further.
The Beta programme is open for applications up to the end of November, looking for Participants to test new digital tools, and Development Partners to create services for new industry use cases.
