IB launches Fleet Operations Centre product

Maritime software company IB has launched a new Fleet Operations Centre product for centralised management of cargo and cruise ship fleet performance, with the first prototype demonstrator now live in Cyprus.

The control room has been designed to monitor operational processes for one or more fleets through a centralised integrated platform that collects, compares, analyses and shares vessel operational data in real-time, connecting the ships and shore offices.

The system, to be named FORCE (Fleet Operations Remote Control cEntre), is built on IB’s InfoShip family of applications and will be specifically customised for each user company to allow them to manage their own range of shipboard functions.

This will include activities such as fuel consumption control, asset performance, maintenance planning and route optimisation, IB says.
