Intellian adds second Korean antenna factory

Intellian is ramping up its antenna manufacturing capacity with the upcoming launch of a second factory in Pyeongtaek, South Korea, which will become operational in August of this year.

The new facility is situated 4km from the company’s existing factory and HQ, increasing both the company’s production and warehouse capacity by a factor of three.

The new and existing factories will run simultaneously on all product lines across the maritime and land sectors, including gateway antenna systems and Intellian’s recently announced range of flat panel antennas.

Comprising four levels of production and one office floor, the launch of this new factory will also see an expansion of the Intellian team, with new staff to be added to its global workforce, the company said.

“The launch of the new Pyeongtaek factory comes at an exciting and innovative time for Intellian, building on consistent success in delivering best-in-class solutions to partners and customers,” added Eric Sung, CEO and President, Intellian.

“A key step in our wider growth vision, this supercharged production facility and workforce will strengthen Intellian’s historically collaborative relationship with partners and drive continued growth and innovation.”
