Raytheon Anschütz reports that it has created a data integration between its electronic logbook, eLog, Osiris Consultants’ SOFeXchange data exchange service and the voyage informatics platform Podium5 from StratumFive, to allow data to be more easily shared and analysed.
“The eLog collects the hard facts, such as navigational and safety-related information,” said Volker Wenzel, Technical Marketing Manager at Raytheon Anschütz.
“Thanks to the new connections, these facts from the ships can now be further processed and analysed instantly by various parties at shore, including, but not limited to, the statements of facts.”
“The eLog entries are additional observed values, analysed by the platform to build a broader, more reliable picture of voyage performance, efficiency and other use cases, compiled to guide decisions made by stakeholders like ship owners, ship managers and charterers.”
Statements of facts report all events during a ship’s stay in port and have traditionally been delivered in a wide variety of formats that differ from port to port and vessel to vessel. SOFeXchange will be used as a central collection point to remove the need to transcribe formats, automatically capturing records entered into the eLog.
Raytheon Anschütz’s eLog, launched in 2021, provides ship navigation, manoeuvring and command evidence in a digital format, from automatic and manual data entries, which is digitally signed and stored using blockchain technology.
