StormGeo has launched a new Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) Simulator, used to simulate ship performance and present the user with a view of vessel CII ratings and their potential commercial impact.
The software can be used to monitor compliance status over the course of a year and compute any deterioration to forecast next year’s CII ratings. If the simulation identifies any issues these can be notified to the shipowner to kick-start decision-making processes regarding vessel retrofits or major vessel conversions if operational measures are insufficient.

Norwegian pool operator Hansa Tankers is among the StormGeo clients that have committed to roll out the CII simulator to assess and improve the environmental performance of their fleets.
