ClassNK updates PSC app

ClassNK has released the latest version of its PrimeShip-PSC Intelligence system, a mobile app to assist in managing Port State Control (PSC) performance and facilitate sharing of data with ship management systems.

Provided free of charge, the application is based on ClassNK’s database of PSC reports input by ship managers, shipowners and the class society itself, highlighting trends in the PSC findings reported in each country or port.

The software offers checklists according to those reported trends for use by shipping companies in managing their processes, with a PC version for ship management staff and a mobile app for seafarers.

The latest version of the mobile app, version 2.0, enables users to access specific PSC checklists based on actual deficiencies, and any checklists and report forms stipulated in the safety management manual that have been created in the PC version.

In addition, typical deficiencies for each month in the countries and ports set by the user, as well as related PSC information, are also delivered in the app.
