ClassNK has released a new web application to allow users to access and view its Rules and Guidance publications within a web browser.
The ClassNK RuleViewer application includes a search function and allows the latest ClassNK Rules for the Survey and Construction of Steel Ships, with Guidance documents that supplement the Rules, to be viewed online.
Users can browse the information associated with individual texts such as application conditions and related articles, to offer a more integrated data service than was possible with PDF and paper-based publications.
Rules and their corresponding Guidances can be displayed side by side, with links to referenced Rules and Guidances for ease of access. The application conditions of various Rules, such as date of application, ship type and others, is also displayed.
ClassNK RuleViewer is available for free via the class society’s MyPage section on its website.
