Singapore-based IMC Ship Management (IMC) has partnered with maritime software firm VesselMan to conduct a pilot project using its systems to improve the vessel operator’s data analysis capabilities.
IMC manages a fleet of vessels that include bulk carriers, oil/chemical tankers, containers, cable-layers, and multi-purpose vessels, and will use the VesselMan platform to input and share information for technical projects.
System users will be guided through a standardised process, to minimise the time spent on building specifications, comparing quotes, and tracking jobs.
“We were sourcing for a cloud-based solution that enables technical data to be consolidated as a move to improve our readiness in expanding the business,” said Lingfeng Han, Senior Manager, Fleet at IMC Ship Management.
“With VesselMan, our projects can be carried out in a systematic way and data being shared in a digital ecosystem. Most importantly, technical data can be shared among all users through boundary-less collaboration to enhance the projects’ efficiency and cost control.”
