Chevron to deploy BOSS software for voyage optimisation

Oil major Chevron has signed a contract with Indian maritime technology company Blue Water Trade Winds to implement the BOSS Voyage Optimisation Suite across its time-chartered fleet.

The software will be used to deliver voyage optimisation support, including weather routing, vessel performance analysis, and other fleet management functions to improve the environmental profile of Chevron’s ships.

“We are excited to see another oil major among our valued clientele,” said Capt Kumaresh Gupta, Managing Director at Blue Water.

“Throughout the trials, we developed certain customised solutions to suit Chevron’s requirements. By swiftly implementing the requests, the BOSS team showcased the platform’s customisability, scalability, and a zeal to make significant changes to match Chevron’s demands.”

Blue Water currently supplies approximately 750 vessels with its fleet management and optimisation software systems.
