ClassNK updates emissions management tool

ClassNK has added a range of new features to its ClassNK ZETA (Zero Emission Transition Accelerator) GHG Emissions Management Tool, used for visualising CO2 emissions and CII ratings of ships.

The software provides current status and simulated CII ratings by linking with the ClassNK MRV Portal, a compliance support system for schemes such as IMO DCS and EU MRV.

The newly released features include a CII benchmark viewer that allows users to compare the CII rating of a ship to other similar ships by type and age, based on analysis of its IMO-DCS and EU-MRV data.

Also added is the capability to simulate how the CII rating of a ship would change in a given year if its operational profile is altered, such as by travelling at different speeds or changing other parameters.

An optional Performance Table capability using software from ClassNK subsidiary NAPA has additionally been included, to allow users to check ship speed and fuel consumption for different engine outputs under various weather, sea and loading conditions.
