Navarino adds remote healthcare services with VIKAND partnership

Satcom service provider Navarino has agreed a new partnership with maritime healthcare firm VIKAND to jointly offer remote medical care and mental health support to the shipping industry.

The partnership will combine Navarino’s Infinity platform and connectivity services with VIKAND’s OneHealth maritime healthcare offering, which provides seafarers with direct access to medical assistance, ranging from real-time video calls with medical professionals, diagnosis based on remote data, mental wellness programmes and crisis intervention.

The system also offers an interactive database where fleet managers and captains can review anonymised crew welfare data to support decisions on training or risk mitigation procedures.

“We are pleased to partner with VIKAND to offer our customers with a complete remote healthcare service,” said Dimitris Tsikopoulos, CEO of Navarino.

“Our solutions provide the ideal technological platform from which OneHealth by VIKAND, and its medical and mental health management services, can help ensure the overall health and wellbeing of those who live and work at sea.”
