Mintra Holding buys Seably

Maritime and energy industry e-Learning company Mintra Holding has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Seably, a maritime digital learning marketplace, including its WellAtSea subsidiary, a wellness platform for seafarers.

Seably hosts more than 700 maritime courses within its marketplace, which will be added to Mintra’s portfolio of Human Capital Management systems and digital learning services.

Mintra previously acquired the maritime digital training firm Safebridge in 2021 for €5.95 million, following earlier acquisitions of OCS HR in 2016 and Atlas Knowledge in 2018. With the new Seably deal the firm says it will service some 4,100 customer accounts and 2.5 million system users worldwide.

“This is a significant milestone for our business, one of many to follow, and a testament to the rapidly growing business which we are building,” said Kevin Short, CEO of Mintra.

“I’m incredibly excited about the potential this recent acquisition unlocks for Mintra. Seably’s notable growth over the past few years is a testament to the high quality of solutions and digital learning this acquisition will bring to Mintra.”

“Not only does this acquisition allow Mintra to grow in the maritime market, but it also provides existing as well as new customers with new capabilities to meet the demands of digitalisation and automation in the sector.”
