Veson Nautical has announced a collaboration with voyage optimisation technology company GeoServe, which will see GeoServe join Veson’s Platform Partner Network and the two firms integrate their respective systems.
The integration will connect the Veson IMOS Platform (VIP) and GeoConnect, GeoServe’s port disbursement accounting software, to assist users in managing port disbursement workflows and synchronising port cost data between both applications.
For mutual clients who opt in, this integration will offer the ability to leverage GeoConnect’s capabilities to make data driven decisions on vessel turnaround times at port and to better manage port cost data. Users can also send port DA requests from VIP to GeoConnect as well as nominate agents directly from VIP.
“A crucial factor in the efficiency and profitability of a maritime organisation’s voyage operations is the quality of their disbursement accounting processes,” said Graham Piasecki, Director of Commercial Strategy at Veson Nautical.
“However, traditional paper-based disbursement accounting involves complex communications chains and requires a heavy amount of administrative work, leaving considerable room for error. Creating a smooth experience at port starts with streamlined access to vital port and disbursement information, which is where the VIP – GeoConnect integration can help.”
